When to Visit

Costa Rica is a year-round destination with a tropical climate, however, it does have a dry season from mid-December to April, which offers warm, sunny days and is considered the best time to visit. However, travelling to Costa Rica between May and November, also known as the 'green season', can be a great way to experience fewer crowds, greener landscapes, and catch sight of various fauna in their natural habitat. While you can expect short showers, they are typically followed by sunshine, and the slightly cooler temperatures can make outdoor activities more comfortable.
