Learn more about hotels in Netanya

Named in honour of Jewish American merchant and philanthropist Nathan Straus, Netanya is the seventh-largest city in Israel. Once being part of the Sharon Forest, the city was developed into what it is today by Itamar Ben-Avi and Oved Ben-Ami. Their funds, raised in America, laid the building blocks for the beloved Netanya we know today, despite interruptions from the 1929 Palestine riot aftermath. The city saw significant growth post-1948 when the State of Israel was established, becoming the attractive tourist destination it is today.

Netanya is a regional hub, its population a blend of native Israelis and immigrants from around the world, adding to its cultural richness. It’s got a diversified religious community, from secular Jews and Sanzer Hasidim to a sizeable Persian Jewish community. The city is as diverse as it is vibrant, from tourism and diamond industries to the enchanting Poleg nature reserve and the Irises Dora Rainpool nature park, providing a unique holiday experience unlike any other.

When to visit Netanya

When planning your visit, keep in mind the best time for ideal weather. Typically, the warmest months in Netanya are August, July, and September, with early August being the most heated. If you're a sun-lover and want to enjoy Netanya’s remarkable beaches at their finest, these are the ideal months for your getaway. For those who prefer less rain during their holidays, June, July, and August are the months with the least rainfall.

Regardless of the time of year, Netanya offers a delightful travel experience. And, if you're looking for a great deal, September is the least expensive month to visit, as you will still enjoy warm temperatures and low precipitation. Whenever you choose to visit, pack your bags and prepare for an unforgettable journey.
